CCST 1001 - Climate Change Seminar (1 Credit)
This course provides students with a comprehensive understanding of climate change issues and promotes global perspectives, community engagement, and justice in climate change discussions and actions. To be taken after declaring the Climate Change Studies degree. Repeatable.

CCST 1060 - Global Climate Change (3 Credits)
Presents global climate change from an Earth science perspective including explorations of paleoclimatology, atmospheric science, vegetation, fluvial systems, and oceanic circulation. Analyze observed and predicted impacts of climate change on the world's terrestrial regions. Examine interrelationships among economy, society, and public policy
as well as geographic variation in greenhouse gas emissions at national and regional scales. Also discussed will be efforts to mitigate climate change and its causes and/or adaptations to global climate change.

CCST 3939 - Internship (1-3 Credits)
Approved internships will provide opportunities to apply classroom knowledge in a professional environment and expand the student's knowledge of climate change studies. Associated coursework includes scientific reading/writing and presentation(s). Note: Requires at least 15 credit hours completed at CU Denver. Repeatable.

Repeatable. Max Credits: 9.
Requires prerequisite courses of (BIOL 2010/2061/2097/2030) AND (BIOL 2011/2081/2098/2031) AND (BIOL 2020/2051/2095/2040) AND (BIOL 2021/2071/2096/2041) (all min grade C-). Restricted to Biology Major Minor students with at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA.

CCST 4001 - Climate Change Capstone (3-4 Credits)
Students apply concepts and skills presented throughout the Climate Change Studies program in a community setting. Students will participate in a real-world, studio-based project that meets the needs of a government, non-governmental, or private sector organization and will produce a scoped product. Repeatable.

Repeatable. Max Credits: 4.
Prereq: CCST 1001 with a C- or higher and senior standing.
